Rev. Jarrett Maupin, a civil rights activist in Arizona who has been critical of law enforcement officers using force in recent high profile shootings, was invited by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office to undergo “Use of Force Training” so that he too could see what it is like to have to make split-second, life or death decisions.
As one law enforcement officer stated, Maupin “had a quick change of heart after three different shoot-don’t-shoot scenarios.”
In the end, Maupin was “killed” once and shot an unarmed man on a separate occasion.
