The National Weather Service in Louisville, Kentucky has issued a flash flood warning for southeastern Monroe County, Kentucky.
At approximately 2:25 p.m. CDT, doppler radar indicated light to moderate rains occurring over the area – while up to three inches of rain have fallen already.
No flash flooding has been reported at this time, but low water crossings and other fast-rising creek areas may briefly rise to bankfull.
NWS is advising residents to take precautionary/preparedness actions. “Turn around…don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.”
