Teacher in Viral “Shooting Trump” Video Placed on Administrative Leave

Officials at the Dallas Independent School District have confirmed to Appalachian Magazine that the teacher shown in a viral video circulating around the Internet shooting a President Trump (in a video) with a water gun has been placed on administrative leave.

In the video, the words “DIE” can be heard being shouted in the classroom, though it is unclear whether it was the teacher or someone else screaming this as laughter was also heard in the background.

In a statement, Robyn L. Harris of Dallas ISD said, “Today, we were made aware of a social media posting being circulated involving a teacher at W. H. Adamson High School. The teacher has been placed on administrative leave and the district has opened an investigation. This is a personnel matter and, as such, we can not comment.”

There are multiple internet posts alleging the teacher’s name is Payal R. Modi and RateMyTeachers.com page for a person by this name as W.H. Adamson High School in Dallas, Texas has been flooded with posts criticizing the person for shooting a squirt gun at a video of the President; however, it is important to note that the teacher’s name has not been officially released and at this time, this is only believed to be the teacher’s name.

Dallas ISD was specifically asked what class / grade did the incident take place in as well as the teacher’s name and they declined to comment.
