MADISON, W.Va. — Boone County Sheriff’s Office employees have confirmed to Appalachian Magazine that a school bus crashed Friday afternoon inside the municipal limits of Madison, West Virginia.
Sheriff’s deputies say the accident occurred around 3 p.m. near the Scott High School field house, but declined to provide any information as to the cause of the accident.
The bus went over a guardrail on the side of a hill.
A representative from the City of Madison Emergency Medical Services states that there were only minor injuries.
Law enforcement officials say the Madison Police Department is overseeing the incident.
