Wythe County residents can expect frigid temperatures in the closing days of 2017, as National Weather Service meteorologists are predicting at least four days of temperatures never rising above the freezing point.
Current forecast models are indicating there is a slim chance of light snow fall in the early morning hours of Christmas day.
Though the likelihood for a white Christmas is slim, one thing that is expected is that it will be a cold Christmas, as temperatures will continue to drop throughout the day, bottoming out at 22°F for the day.
As the week progresses, temperatures will continue to fall:

|Thu. Dec. 29||37°F||25°F|
