Distribution Line Leaves Wytheville Without Power



AEP is blaming an issue with a distribution line for a problem that has resulted in 2,265 customers in Wytheville being left without power.

Businesses and residents in Wytheville currently without electricity include Wythe County Communiry Hospital, which is operating on emergency back-up power as well as Wal-Mart which is not allowing customers into the store until power is restored.

AEP estimates power to be restored around 2:30 p.m.

  1. That’s why they get paid the big bucks! Need some competition in the region to force them down on their rates, but the “Commonwealth” wouldn’t have that…..LOL!
